A hinged panel’s opening stop determines where movement is arrested. Show how that stop force passes through the hardware and supporting structure. A carbon fiber skin should not be assumed to carry an unspecified stop load simply because it closes the opening.
Locate the stopped position
Identify the hinge axis, open position and stop contact in the assembly drawing. Include any supporting stays or other defined hardware. A closed-fit check does not show which component contacts first when the panel reaches its intended open position.
Define the connected scope
The hinge, stop, fasteners and local panel construction belong in the engineering review where they carry the load. Clarify which parts are supplied and which are customer-provided. A supplier quoting a shell may not have included the complete opening mechanism or its assessment.
Retain the actual trial configuration
If the assembly is tested or demonstrated, record its hardware and operating conditions with the result. Distinguish an interference check from an evaluation of the stop and attachment requirements. Replacing a stop, changing a hinge position or adding mass to the panel can change the configuration being assessed. Keep those changes visible rather than treating the unchanged outer panel shape as proof of continued equivalence.

For the project review: hinge axis and stopped position; actual stop contact and load path; hardware and panel supply boundaries; represented operating trial configuration.
