Application Engineering / Purchasing guide
A trim enquiry should identify the exact mating surface and installation method. “Fits this model” is too broad when trim geometry can vary between versions or assemblies. Provide controlled references, critical dimensions and appearance requirements so the supplier can review fitment without guessing from a vehicle photograph.
Catalogue reference image. Confirm the quoted configuration against the agreed drawing.
Identify the reference assembly
Provide the relevant model or assembly identifiers and the drawing or sample used to define fit. Where the project relies on a reference part, label that part and record its condition. If multiple versions are required, list them separately and ask for a fitment review of each version.
Show the attachment method
Explain whether the trim clips, fastens, bonds or overlays another surface. Show access, edge clearances and any features that must remain operable. The appearance of the exposed face should not conceal an unresolved attachment detail or interference with the original controls.
Agree the visible result
Mark the visible face, edges and desired weave orientation. Use an approved finish reference where appearance matters. Record the fit sample and drawing revision used for acceptance, and avoid expanding compatibility claims beyond the actual configurations that have been reviewed.

Frequently asked questions
Can one trim sample prove fit for a whole model range?
Only the reviewed configurations are supported. Treat other versions as separate fitment questions.
Should attachment details be included in the RFQ?
Yes. They define important geometry and the scope of supplied hardware or finishing.
Discuss your carbon fiber component
Send your drawing revision, intended application, quantity and acceptance requirements to Litian Yunde for a project review.
