A support for a moving cable carrier needs the carrier’s travel envelope, not just its mounting-hole pattern. Include the carrier and cable requirements supplied by their manufacturers, along with the moving and fixed attachment positions. A light support does not establish a suitable cable path.
Show the movement in the enquiry
Provide the relevant end positions and the space occupied during travel. Include the direction in which the carrier bends and the nearby equipment it must avoid. The support outline should be reviewed against the actual selected carrier rather than a generic loop drawn around the cables.
Keep cable requirements with the carrier
Igus’ installation guidance describes the need for cables to move appropriately inside a carrier and addresses strain relief and positioning. Use the instructions for the selected cable and carrier combination. Do not assign one bend radius from the carbon support dimensions or assume a free cable loop represents the installed carrier.
Check the handover configuration
Identify whether the order supplies only the carbon support, its hardware or a populated carrier assembly. In a movement demonstration, retain the carrier model, cable set and attachment condition with the record. Check the required operating travel under the agreed review scope; an unpopulated stationary photograph cannot establish the behaviour of the completed installation. Keep replacement cable information available for later service.
