Component overview
Curved shell references for a shin-guard project. The shell geometry, lining interface and intended use must be reviewed together.
Connect the shell or component to the finished product
Identify the surfaces that contact the user or the contents, then show the fittings, closures and supports. Clarify whether the enquiry covers the carbon fiber component or a larger assembly.
Details to include in your enquiry
| Feature | Information to provide |
|---|---|
| Shell dimensions | State overall height, width and coverage, with the intended wearer or size range. |
| Curvature | Provide a curved profile or fitting reference and identify allowable contact zones. |
| Lining interface | Define lining, straps and attachment features, separating shell supply from a finished assembly. |
| Application-specific verification | State the applicable use and required protective-performance evidence; a shell photo is not a test result. |
Sample review and acceptance
Agree fit, finish and supplied accessories before sample review. Intended-use verification belongs to the actual configuration, including any lining, hardware or equipment added to the component.
Separate sample and production quantities, identify the governing drawing revision, and list the inspection records you need. If a feature is not yet defined, mark it for discussion before quotation.
Questions about this component
Can the reference be adapted to my drawing?
Submit the drawing and highlight differences from the pictured reference. Geometry, material construction, finish and supplied hardware are reviewed together for the requested configuration.
What is included in the quotation?
Ask for the carbon fiber component, tooling where relevant, finishing, hardware, inspection and packing scope to be listed clearly. A reference image does not define every supplied item.
Product reference images. Dimensions, construction and supplied items are defined by the agreed drawing and quotation.
