Component overview
Bicycle rim references. These images show rims rather than a fully specified built wheel; hubs, spokes and assembly are separate items to define.
Review the bicycle as an assembly
Identify the bicycle configuration and the mating components. Geometry, clamping, routing and hardware choices need to be consistent across the build; a visually similar part may have different interfaces.
Details to include in your enquiry
| Feature | Information to provide |
|---|---|
| Rim profile | Provide rim diameter, width, depth and a cross-section drawing. |
| Intended wheel configuration | State whether the request is for rims or a built wheel set, and identify hubs and spokes. |
| Interface requirements | Define tire, brake and spoke-hole interfaces for the selected configuration. |
| Inspection and validation | Agree dimensional checks and validation for the complete wheel and tire combination. |
Sample review and acceptance
Agree the component inspection and the responsibility for complete-bicycle validation. Supply the relevant component references and assembly requirements when requesting a sample.
Separate sample and production quantities, identify the governing drawing revision, and list the inspection records you need. If a feature is not yet defined, mark it for discussion before quotation.
Questions about this component
Can the reference be adapted to my drawing?
Submit the drawing and highlight differences from the pictured reference. Geometry, material construction, finish and supplied hardware are reviewed together for the requested configuration.
What is included in the quotation?
Ask for the carbon fiber component, tooling where relevant, finishing, hardware, inspection and packing scope to be listed clearly. A reference image does not define every supplied item.
Product reference images. Dimensions, construction and supplied items are defined by the agreed drawing and quotation.
