For a bicycle accessory, start with the mounting interface and the item it must hold. A small lightweight component still needs a clear fit and retention requirement.
Include the bicycle-side reference
Provide mounting-hole locations, available clearances and any prescribed hardware. For a holder or bracket, show the object that sits in it and the intended orientation. Distinguish the accessory alone from an assembly that includes bolts, washers or inserts.
Review fit with the intended items
Use the actual or agreed representative mating components during sample review. Record whether installation and removal work as intended and identify any contact with adjacent parts. Do not infer retention capability or riding suitability from the carbon weave or from the weight of the accessory.

A bottle cage fits the frame’s mounting holes, but the intended bottle cannot be removed without contacting another component. Include the actual bottle and nearby frame geometry in the sample fit review, rather than accepting the hole pattern alone.
