Purchasing & Project Control · Component review guide · Litian Yunde
Anchor graphics to component features. Original explanatory schematic; not to scale and not a product test result.
Artwork approval on a curved carbon fiber part should cover orientation, location and the viewing condition, not just the flat graphic file. Identify the supplied finish and application process. A correct logo file can still be positioned incorrectly on a handed or curved component.
Anchor artwork to part features
Give the graphic a reference point, a baseline and a reading direction tied to the part drawing. State whether the position follows the surface or a projected view. Include separate instructions for left- and right-hand parts. A visual mockup helps explain the result, but it should not be the only dimensional placement instruction when repeatability matters.
Review contrast on the actual finish
A graphic can look different against a woven surface, a matte finish or a glossy clear coat. Approve a representative physical sample or an explicitly agreed proof method. Define the area to inspect and the lighting or viewing distance if these control acceptance. Avoid treating a screen preview as evidence of colour or adhesion on the finished component.
Keep artwork and part revisions linked
Record the artwork file revision, part revision and approved placement proof together. Identify which party supplies approved brand assets and who releases changes. A later logo update should not alter placement or production scope without review. Use the authorised original artwork; do not recreate trademarks from a photograph or a generative illustration.

Example: markings on paired curved covers
The same artwork is applied to both covers, but one reads upside down in the installed orientation. The buyer provides separate left/right placement sheets tied to mounting features, then approves representative samples in installed views. The release package now includes the graphic revision and the two placement references.

Questions posées par les acheteurs
Is approval of a PDF enough to approve the finished graphic?
Only for the items that proof represents. Surface appearance and adhesion may need separate sample checks.
Should left/right parts use a mirrored logo?
Use the brand owner’s approved artwork and placement instruction; do not assume mirroring is allowed.
