Define an appearance reference

Agree a representative surface sample and identify which face is visible after installation. Mark weave direction, edges and areas where a joint or fixing may be seen. Evaluate colour and gloss under agreed viewing conditions so a change in lighting is not mistaken for a change in the part.

Ask for evidence relevant to the finished surface

State the intended environment and cleaning products, and request any required evaluation for the actual laminate and coating system. Keep those results tied to the tested configuration. Avoid describing a panel as UV-proof, scratch-proof or maintenance-free without corresponding evidence and a defined acceptance limit.

Exemple de scénario

Two photos show different gloss because they were taken under different lighting. Compare physical samples under the agreed viewing conditions before asking for a process correction. Record the accepted sample and surface system rather than keeping only the preferred photograph.
