A fan shroud needs a clearance review against the actual moving assembly. Show the fan, its mounting references and the surrounding envelope rather than comparing the shroud opening with an isolated nominal diameter. A stationary fit photograph does not describe every relevant operating condition.
Identify the fan or impeller model and the references that position it relative to the shroud. Include nearby fasteners, lips and other protrusions where they enter the review region. State which components and mounting parts the supplier is actually providing.
Ask which conditions define the gap
The responsible engineering review should identify the movement, temperature and other conditions relevant to the required clearance. Do not insert a generic clearance value from an unrelated fan or infer a suitable operating gap from the carbon surface appearance. Keep any required evaluation tied to the actual assembly.
Separate the acceptance questions
A dimensional check, a functional trial, an airflow evaluation and any protective function are different requirements. State which ones belong to the order and who supplies the evidence. If the fan, mounting position or shroud construction changes, review the affected configuration again. This makes the enquiry useful without turning a light shell or a neat opening into an unsupported claim about cooling or equipment protection.
