Инспекция и тестирование

Inspection and test methods for composite parts: method coverage, specimen condition, reference standards, limitations and reporting of actual results.

A requirement interval and a measurement result with uncertainty have different meanings.

Measurement Uncertainty and Drawing Tolerance Have Different Jobs

A drawing tolerance defines an allowed requirement. Measurement uncertainty describes the dispersion associated with values attributed to the measured quantity. They should not be merged into one unlabeled “accuracy” figure when comparing a carbon fiber inspection result with its requirement.

Dry, conditioned and elevated-temperature results should retain their separate labels.

Room-Temperature Composite Data Does Not Describe Every Service Condition

A material result measured in one condition should retain that condition when it is reused. Temperature, moisture history and specimen state can matter to a composite evaluation. A room-temperature result is useful evidence within its stated scope, not an all-environment rating.

Ultrasonic assessment depends on a suitable sound path and inspection arrangement.

Ultrasonic Inspection of Carbon Fiber Parts: Define the Coverage

“Ultrasonic tested” is incomplete unless the report identifies the method, examined regions and evaluation criteria. Composite geometry and direction-dependent acoustic behaviour can affect the inspection. The useful question is what the proposed technique can assess on this particular component.
