An enclosure layout should identify antenna regions, connectors and service openings before the carbon fiber shell is frozen. The enclosure material and the electronics layout need to be reviewed together.
Keep the electronics layout in the mechanical brief
Mark antenna locations, cable routes and the spaces required to insert plugs. Carbon fibre is electrically conductive; do not treat its surface as an insulating plastic. Ask the electronics team to define the required separation and any non-carbon opening or insert.
Validate the actual assembled enclosure
A cut-out that fits a connector is only one part of the review. Record the final hardware, cover position and electronics configuration for functional checks. Avoid claiming improved wireless performance from a cosmetic material change. If the design changes after a sample review, update both the mechanical drawing and the electronics review record.

A connector opening is moved after an enclosure sample is approved. The mechanical change also changes the space around the antenna region. Send the revised configuration back to the electronics reviewer instead of treating the modification as a cosmetic change.
