Conceptual thermal stages only; this drawing specifies no cure schedule or settings.

Post-Cure Requirements Belong to the Exact Composite Resin System

A post-cure is a specified additional stage in a material’s processing definition, not a generic improvement to apply to every carbon fiber part. Review it against the exact resin system, supplier guidance and component requirements. Keep the actual processing record distinct from a proposed schedule.

Start with the material designation

Gurit’s processing and product guidance describes system-specific cure information. For an enquiry, identify the resin or prepreg and the intended supplied condition. Do not transfer a cycle from a similar-looking material or assume that a material’s highest published property applies to every cure route.

Consider the complete assembly

Tooling, bonded hardware and finishes may affect when a specified thermal stage can occur. Describe what is already attached and what dimensional or appearance checks are needed after processing. The supplier and responsible reviewer should establish the appropriate route; this article does not provide a cure recipe.

Request the evidence you need

If the order requires a particular material state or processing record, specify the document and traceability scope. A declaration that a part is “fully cured” may be too general for that purpose. Confirm the agreed requirement before sample approval, then retain the actual record with the component revision rather than treating a proposed schedule as proof it was performed.
