Carbon Fiber Vision-System Bridges: Define the Camera-to-Object Reference

A vision-system bridge positions a camera or sensor relative to the object being inspected. Specify that relationship through the mounts, supports and operating movement. A light carbon fiber bridge is useful only if the complete arrangement meets the application’s positioning requirements.

Draw the measurement relationship

Locate the camera mount, object path and relevant machine reference. Show the working range and any adjustment axes. This is a positioning question distinct from keeping the bracket outside a lens field of view; both can matter, but they need different information.

Include the connected mass and services

The camera, lens, lights, cables and other attachments belong in the mechanical review where they load or constrain the bridge. Identify how cables move and where they are supported. An assessment of a bare beam should not silently stand in for the installed equipment.

State what is to be checked

Agree the position or movement to be evaluated and the machine condition during the check. Record whether the result includes mount and support movement. Mechanical inspection and successful image processing are different evidence: retain the relevant setup for each. If the camera package changes, compare the new configuration with the one that was reviewed before reusing its conclusions.
